Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and how to remove your data. Plain language — no dark patterns.

1. Who we are

Daily Trading Tips ("we", "us") operates the website at dailytrading.tips, the Telegram channels listed in our footer, the @FxprotipsAssistant support bot, and the YouTube channel @DTradingTips. This policy covers all of those surfaces.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

  • Email address — when you sign up for the daily signal preview, create a Hub account, or contact support.
  • Telegram identifiers — chat_id, username, first name — when you join one of our channels or DM our bot, so we can send you signals and link your Hub account to your Telegram identity.
  • Support conversations— when you contact us (e.g. via Telegram DM or web chat), we store the messages so we can answer you, keep a record, improve our support, and train our support assistant. Tell us if you'd like a conversation deleted.
  • Push subscription endpoints — when you opt in to browser push notifications, the browser-issued endpoint URL + cryptographic keys are stored so we can fan out updates.
  • Broker IB tags— if you register a broker account via our link, our IB partner reports your trading volume to us so we can determine your loyalty discount tier. We never see your live trades, balance, or P&L.
  • First-party usage analytics — with your consent, we record our own behavioural events (pages you visit, the referring page, and a coarse device/browser string) tied to a random first-party visitor ID stored in your browser. We do not store your raw IP and never track you across other websites. We may also use Google Analytics (page views, referrer, country, device class) with IP anonymisation. No keystrokes, no session recordings, no fingerprinting.
  • Server logs — IP address + user agent for requests, retained for security and abuse detection (typical retention: 30 days).

3. What we don't collect

  • Your broker login credentials.
  • Your trading P&L or balance.
  • Payment card details — we never touch or store raw card data.
  • Location data beyond country-level inferred from IP.

4. How we use your data

  • Deliver the signal feed, push notifications, and product updates you signed up for.
  • Determine your loyalty discount tier based on broker-reported volume.
  • Personalise your Hub dashboard (active signals, your tier, your discounts).
  • Improve the product via aggregate analytics — page popularity, funnel conversion, drop-off points.
  • Reach you about service changes, security alerts, or material updates to this policy.

5. Who we share data with

We share the minimum required with the following processors:

  • Supabase — auth + database hosting (EU/US region).
  • Upstash Redis — short-term cache of signal state.
  • Netlify — site hosting + serverless functions.
  • Telegram — channel + bot delivery.
  • Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics.
  • IB partner brokers — only the broker-issued account id linked to your IB tag, never the email tied to it.

We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it with advertisers.

6. Cookies + similar tech

We set a small number of strictly-functional cookies (Supabase auth session, theme preference). With your consent we also set two first-party analytics cookies — one that remembers your accept/decline choice, and a random visitor ID used only for our own analytics — alongside the Google Analytics _ga family. You can accept or decline in the cookie banner and withdraw consent any time by clearing your cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If your browser enables "Do Not Track", we honour it by disabling GA on that visit.

7. Your rights

You may, at any time:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold against your account or email.
  • Correct — fix anything inaccurate.
  • Delete — close your account and remove associated data. Some records (broker rebate and tier-accounting records, transactional logs) may be retained for accounting up to 7 years per applicable tax law.
  • Port — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Object / withdraw consent — unsubscribe from email, opt out of push, leave the Telegram channel — each independent.

DM @FxprotipsAssistant with the request from the contact channel tied to your account. We respond within 30 days.

8. Data retention

Active account data is retained for as long as you remain a member. On deletion, we purge personal identifiers within 30 days, retaining only anonymised analytics and rebate-accounting records that the law requires us to keep.

9. Security

Data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Database access is restricted to authenticated service tokens stored as environment variables on our hosting platform. Passwords are hashed by Supabase (Argon2). No system is bulletproof — if you suspect a breach affecting your account, contact us immediately.

10. International transfers

Our processors operate from the EU, US, and Asia-Pacific. Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or the processor's equivalent compliance framework.

11. Children

Our services are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact support and we will delete it.

12. Updates to this policy

We'll post material changes to this page and (where the change is material) email registered members 14 days before they take effect. The Effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
